Veronica will be our Camp Nurse for all 3 sessions this summer!

Veronica was born and raised in northern Wisconsin where her summers mainly consisted of anything and everything to do with the outdoors. All throughout high school she was very involved with athletics including softball, volleyball, and cross country. Often times she would spend her summer volunteering at sports camps for younger children.

VP-PhotoShe currently lives in Milwaukee, WI where she works as a nurse at Froedtert Hospital.  At Froedtert she mainly works with post-op surgical oncology patients where she cares for them at the very beginning of their road to recovery. Before starting her career as a nurse, she attended nursing school at Alverno College, which is a private women’s College. One of her accomplishments at Alverno included being an active member in the Alverno College Student Nurses Association.  She was also accepted to do an internship at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin where she worked mainly with trauma patients (and saw lots of broken bones!)  She really enjoyed her time at Alverno which has given her the tools to be a successful nurse and also shaped her into the driven person she is today.

In her free time she enjoys cooking, running, playing violin, and snowboarding.  Veronica is very excited to be joining the rest of the staff at the camp this summer! She hopes that as a team we will create a great experience for all of the campers.
