Introducing Head Soccer Coach, Yuval Obsfeld

Originally from Israel, Yuval Obsfeld brings a wealth of soccer experience and a unique perspective to Maccabi Sports Camp. With a lifelong passion for the beautiful game, Yuval’s journey began at the age of 8 when he first kicked a ball.

At 17, Yuval transitioned from player to coach, leading a youth team aged 10-11 to a remarkable second-place finish in the league. Beyond the scoreboard, he fostered an environment where young athletes not only improved their skills but also learned the value of teamwork and camaraderie.

Following his love for soccer, Yuval faced a pivotal decision at 18: pursue his athletic dreams or serve his country. Opting for the latter, he became a combat medic in the Israeli Defense Forces, demonstrating his commitment to service and selflessness.

After completing his military service, Yuval returned to the soccer pitch, playing in a semi-professional league while simultaneously coaching youth teams in Givat Zeev. It was during this time that he honed his coaching philosophy, emphasizing skill development, sportsmanship, and character building.

In 2021 and 2022, Yuval served as an assistant coach at Maccabi Sports Camp, where he absorbed invaluable insights from different head coaches, further enhancing his coaching arsenal. Currently, he showcases his talent on the Futsal court as a key player for his college team, consistently demonstrating his dedication to the sport.

Now, Yuval eagerly anticipates the opportunity to lead as the head coach at Maccabi Sports Camp, where he aims to inspire young athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the field.
