Going into our third summer, we are so grateful for the supportive, vibrant camp community we have created over the past two summers. Our staff members are the cornerstone of our program and are compassionate, enthusiastic, patient and love working with kids.
It’s obvious why we love our staff, but have you ever wondered why staff love working at our camp? Here are some things they had to say:
“I had a fantastic time helping young athletes improve their basketball game…I also really enjoyed how Judaism is a staple in camp life (i.e. observing the Sabbath, reciting prayers/songs)” – Basketball Counselor, 2014 & 2016
“I have a passion for teaching and coaching the game of basketball. This camp provides me a way to put my skills to the test in a fun environment that is focused on the kids. One of my goals is to eventually become a college coach.” – Basketball Counselor, 2016
“I greatly enjoyed my time at JCC Maccabi Sports Camp last summer and would like to return. I love to play and instruct sports while watching the children improve. I also made many great friends from all around the world.” – Baseball Counselor, 2015 & 2016
“I connected with the campers and miss them very much.” – Tennis Counselor, 2014 & 2015
“I had an awesome time passing on sports knowledge as well as personal knowledge that will help kids become better well-rounded people. Also, the unique personalities of the kids and their hilarious stories makes it fun to be around them.” – Baseball Counselor, 2014 & 2015
