Ryan Klages is a waterman from Long Island, New York. A lifeguard and captain of his high school team, he later attended Manhattan College in New York City. While at Manhattan, he captained the Jaspers to their best finish in school history and broke 4 school records.
Ryan has been a competitive swim coach for 8 years now. He has developed All-American swimmers, state champions, and NCAA championship qualifiers. He assisted Chaminade High School in winning to back-to-back league championships, and Swim Birmingham YMCA Swim Team to the 2019 Southern Region Championship.
Outside of swimming, Ryan is a trained beach & pool lifeguard for the summer and social studies teacher when school is in session. When not in the classroom or around the water, he enjoys reading and watching movies.
Ryan is excited to share his knowledge and experiences to develop the next generation of swimmers. He is looking forward to training swimmers both physically and mentally.
